Key Features;
- Weight tested from 5.4kg (12lb) to 13.6kg (30lb).
- Realistically fits babies from roughly 4 to 18 months of age.
- Panel doesn't adjust in width or height for baby which is why this carrier doesn't fit as early or last as long as other carriers.
- Offers just 2 carrying positions (Front inward and Back).
- Made from super-lightweight 100% Nylon outer patterned fabric combined with a 100% polyester mesh lining fabric.
- Wide, curved, minimally padded waistband is combined with narrow unpadded shoulder straps that are worn rucksack style across parents back. Extra long webbing ensures this fits a very wide range of parent shapes and sizes from petite to plus size. Plus sizes are particularly well catered for by this carrier.
- Removable hood that can be used for privacy, sun protection or rolled up as an additional neck support pillow as needed
- Packs into its own bag that can be worn as a hip bag or an across body back. Also features a really capacious pocket. Most of this pocket is taken up by the carrier when the carrier is folded up into the bag, but while the carrier is in use the pocket is huge and more than big enough for a couple of nappies, change of clothes, wipes and maybe a snack or two.
Designed as a ultra-light travel carrier, the Tula Lite isn't the most flexible, versatile, or longest lasting of carriers. Its not even one of the most comfortable. It is however, very lightweight, very cool to wear and packs down into its own very compact bag - making it great for travel. Particularly travel overseas to warmer climates.
Do I think this carrier offers sufficient value to recommend people purchase their own? No, I don't. As lightweight summer friendly, travel friendly carriers go the Kahu Baby out performs this in almost all categories - it's more comfortable, it's more flexible, more versatile and it lasts longer. So all in all the Kahu Baby offers so much better value for money. But this does have that fantastic pocket and looks amazing so if you aren't looking to buy but just want to rent something for an upcoming holiday or trip then the Tula Lite can be a great option.
