Description
Key Features of the Tula Free To Grow;
- Called the Free to Grow because both the width and height of this carrier can be adjusted to fit as baby grows. The width of the carrier can be adjusted via poppers, while the height of the carrier is adjusted with a simple ladderlock strap at the front. This adjustability means this carrier grows with baby and doesn't require an infant insert.
- Manufacturer recommends it for use for babies from just 3.2kg (7lb) all the way upto a fantastic 20kg (45lb). More realistically, however, I’d say this carrier works well from around 4 weeks through to 2 years old.
- For the baby it has very soft leg padding and the height of this carrier can be adjusted for different ages of stages.
- Offers 2 carrying positions – front inward and back carry position. This carrier does not offer a hip carry position nor a facing out position. For facing out, check out the Tula Explore instead.
- For the parent it has a fairly wide and firmly padded sturdy waistband, and it’s shoulder straps are padded but not overly bulky and are soft and moldable. The long webbing but short padded part means this carrier is one that can fit both women and men very well and both the petite and the plus sized. Straps are designed to be worn “rucksack” or H style, and do not cross across the back.
- It also has a detachable hood and a pocket on the waistband for small things like phone and keys.
The Free to Grow is a great option for any one looking for a simple, adjustable carrier that will last well but aren't bothered about facing their baby outwards or carrying on the hip. The main difference between the Tula Explore and the Free to Grow is simply that the Explore offers outward facing while the Free To Grow doesn't. Without the adjustments needed for outward facing the Free to Grow is a softer, lighter option that is significantly cheaper!
