The Artipoppe Zeitgeist is stunningly beautiful.  Made with amazing attention to detail and high quality materials, what is most notable about this carrier is its eye watering price tag!  It offers 4 carrying positions (front inwards facing, front outwards facing, hip and back carry) and works best for babies aged from 6-8 weeks to around 18-24 months. It fits petite and average sized bodies best and offers crossed straps but can not be worn rucksack style.  It isn't a carrier that fits everyone, and many find other cheaper options just as comfortable so it is definitely worth trying before you invest if this carrier is within your price range!  Or hire it to look fabulous at an upcoming wedding or other special event.

Description

Key Features:   

  • Made from stunning, iridescent Jacquard woven wrap fabric.  With gold finish metal logo buttons and embroidered trademark peacock feather logo.
  • Realistically works brilliantly for babies from around 8 weeks through to 2 years.
  • Advertises 3 carrying positions (Front inward, Front Outward and Back)
  • However, it is worth noting there is no interconnecting strap for the back carry which means it often doesn't feel safe unless you improvise with something like a ribbon, shoelace, slender scarf or fabric belt.
  • Additionally a hip carry is possible but not advertised (no idea why!).
  • Swapping between the inwards and outwards position is tricky to do without taking baby out and putting baby down as it requires an additional piece to be fitted inside the carrier.
  • Inwards, hip and back carries are ergonomical and very comfortable, however, the forward facing position feels a little less comfortable for baby compared to other carriers such as the Ergobaby Omni Breeze or Tula Explore.
  • Grows with baby - width of seat can be adjusted via poppers discretely hidden within the waistband, offering 4 sizing positions to give baby a great fit as they grow.  Likewise neck support can be adjusted as baby develops and grows too.
  • Padded leg opening cushion baby's legs
  • For parent a firmly padded, wide waistband is combined with narrow, flexible, unbulky padded shoulder straps that cross across parents back to comfortably support your back and distribute baby's growing weight.  The result is lots of support without being overtly bulky.
  • Works particularly well for petite frames and average sized parents.  Doesn't always work as well on larger plus sized frames.
  • Machine washable (30 degrees, line dry)
  • Meets both the European CEN/TR 16512-2015 and the American ASTM F2236 safety standards for baby carriers.

The Artipoppe Zeitgeist is an uncommonly beautiful baby carrier.  It is a great carrier, well made with a lot of attention paid to getting the detailing and finish just right.  But like any item that needs to fit your body it doesn't work equally well for everyone.  There are many carriers that are just as good, or (depending on your needs and requirements) better and yet half the price!  Alot of the hype of this carrier stems from the eye watering price tag.  Do I think you need to spend that much on a baby carrier? - No!  But if you really love the look and want to, and it fits you and works for you then please do with my bessing!  Rent it and see if it works for you and then if you love it I will send you a referal code which will get you £40 off your own.

However, for the rest of us where this carrier feels beyond our budget or a bit too much to spend - the Artipoppe is wonderful option to rent for a wedding or special occassion.  Allowing you to wear baby in something that looks just as special as the even you are attending!

Looking for something beautiful and supportive and half the price tag?  My top recommendation for a more wallet friendly, excellent alternative is the Lenny Lamb Light.

Rental information

Rent for 2, 4 or 12 weeks. Date selected will be the date the carrier will be posted for and should arrive on or near that date. In case of post taking a little longer, just let us know and your full 2, 4 or 12 week hire will be honoured from the date the carrier arrived with you. Return date is the date you post back - you do not need to post early to arrive back by that date. If you wish to collect in person from my home (SW14 7HU), please select the date you wish to collect on, and then select local collection at check out. If the date you'd like to collect on isn't showing, please get in touch as it will likely be possible to arrange a short notice collection.

During your hire if you have any questions or worries please do get in touch. If you'd like to send a photo or two for a quick fit check please do!

Please note that slings and carriers are extremely safe when used properly, however misuse can cause injury to yourself or your child. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are using the sling correctly and that you and your child are safe at all times when using the sling. If you are at all worried or concerned at all please do get in touch and ask for help. Sheen Slings cannot be held responsible for any accident that results in injury or death whilst the sling is in your care.

You remain responsible for the sling or carrier for the duration of your hire. Loss or damaged will be charged at cost of replacement so please look after the carrier and treat it as you would something of your own. That said, normal wear and tear is expected so please do feel able to use it fully and there is no need to wash before sending it back as I rewash everything on return.

If you need to wash, this sling can be machine washed at 30 degrees with a liquid detergent and then line dried. For small posset marks it can be quicker and easier to simply spot clean with a soft damp cloth.
