Boba Air - Rental Carrier

• Soft, completely unpadded waistband is combined with narrow minimally padded shoulder straps that are worn rucksack style accross parents back.  Padding has ventilation slits and shoulder straps feature airy mesh to keep the wearer as cool as possible.  Carrier fits a very wide range of parent shapes and sizes from petite to plus size.  Plus sizes are particularly well catered for by this carrier.
• Includes a hood that can be used for privacy, sun protection or rolled up as an additional neck support pillow as needed
• Features a large storage pocket on the front that can be used to store small items when in use, or can be used to pack the carrier away into a compact little bundle when not in use - ready to be easily slipped into the change bag or under the buggy.

Designed as an ultra-light travel carrier, the Boba Air isn't the most flexible, versatile, or longest lasting of carriers.  Its not even one of the most comfortable.  It is however, very lightweight, very cool to wear and packs down into its own very compact bag - making it great for travel.  It is extremely similar to the Tula Lite, which also packs into a compact bag, fits a similar age range (sized slightly smaller) and is also very very lightweight.  Between the two, the Tula Lite feels alot nicer - it is softer, and has a soft non-nylon lining.  The Boba has the nylon material on the outside and the inside.  It feels alot like pac-a-mac type material - lightweight but feels like it would get sweaty feeling quickly!  The Tula on the other hand feels alot softer and a lot less sweat inducing!   Likewise the mesh on the Tula feels very soft, while the mesh on the shoulder straps of the Boba air feel quite scratchy.  Consequently, between the two my vote would be for the Tula Lite.

However, quite honestly I don't think either the Boba or Tula Lite offer sufficient value for me to recommend people purchase their own.  These carriers are simply too limited and not comfortable enough for full time use.  Instead if you are looking for a lightweight summer friendly, travel friendly option to invest in I would strongly recommend the  Kahu Baby, as it out performs both of these this in almost all categories - it's more comfortable, it's more flexible, more versatile and it lasts longer.  So all in all the Kahu Baby offers so much better value for money.  But the Boba Air is a really lightweight option and that big pocket can be quite hepful, so if you aren't looking to buy and are just want to rent something for an upcoming holiday then the Boba Air can be a fair option to hire for the trip.
