The Neko Tiny is designed with very small babies in mind - low birth weight and/or those born prematurely in particular.  Made from super soft jersey, it combines the softness and cosy cuddles of a stretchy wrap with the ease and intuitiveness of a clip on, no tying involved buckle carrier.  Suitable right from 2.5 kg, this is an ideal choice for a small new baby.  Rent it to try before you buy or rent for the whole 4th trimester before moving onto a next step option.

    • Weight tested from 2.5 kg (5.5 lb) to 33 kg (24 lb)
    • Realistically works right from day 1 (even for babies born prematurely or at low birth weight), gently supporting and growing with baby through to around 6-9 months.
    • Made from super soft, 100% Cotton Jersey fabric
    • Panel adjusts in width from 13 to 28 cm and in height 17 to 31 cm, meaning that this carrier can go smaller than any other on the market allowing it to fit a really very tiny baby and then grow incrementally with your baby as they do.  Ensuring perfect support as little grows - ideal for those born at a low birth weight and/or born prematurely.
    • Shoulder straps can be done up either under baby's bottom (recommended for babies under 3.5 kg), or into the waistband.  Shoulder straps do not attach to the panel, which means this carrier really suits smaller and younger babies but will start to feel much less supportive once they are 6 months or over 7 or 8 kg.
    • Offers 1 carrying position only - front inwards.
    • Features a wide, lightly padded soft waist belt with unpadded, spreadable soft shoulder straps that cross over the parents back.  Both the waistband and spreadable shoulder straps are very comfortable and supportive.
    • Fits a wide range of parent shapes and sizes from XXS to XXL, men and women alike

The Neko Tiny has been designed with low birth weight and premature babies in mind. It is possible to make the panel absolutely tiny and as such this is a fabulous option for parents of a premature or low birth weight baby or looking to carry right from day 1 and don't like the idea of a stretchy wrap.  It gives all the softness of a wrap without any of the tying.  While there are other similar newborn carriers on the market - namely the Ergobaby Embrace, and Izmi Baby carrier - the Neko Tiny will work when these options are too big.  However, it is worth noting that consequently this carrier doesn't last as long as the Embrace or Izmi Baby, nor does it offer as much flexibility of use (in terms of carrying positions) and while the fact the straps don't attach to the panel (and instead attach into the waistband) does mean it offers a better fit for very small babies but that is it also slightly harder to do up.

Rental information

Rent for 2, 4 or 12 weeks. Date selected will be the date the carrier will be posted for and should arrive on or near that date. In case of post taking a little longer, just let us know and your full 2, 4 or 12 week hire will be honoured from the date the carrier arrived with you. Return date is the date you post back - you do not need to post early to arrive back by that date. If you wish to collect in person from my home (SW14 7HU), please select the date you wish to collect on, and then select local collection at check out. If the date you'd like to collect on isn't showing, please get in touch as it will likely be possible to arrange a short notice collection.

During your hire if you have any questions or worries please do get in touch. If you'd like to send a photo or two for a quick fit check please do!

Please note that slings and carriers are extremely safe when used properly, however misuse can cause injury to yourself or your child. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are using the sling correctly and that you and your child are safe at all times when using the sling. If you are at all worried or concerned at all please do get in touch and ask for help. Sheen Slings cannot be held responsible for any accident that results in injury or death whilst the sling is in your care.

You remain responsible for the sling or carrier for the duration of your hire. Loss or damaged will be charged at cost of replacement so please look after the carrier and treat it as you would something of your own. That said, normal wear and tear is expected so please do feel able to use it fully and there is no need to wash before sending it back as I rewash everything on return.

If you need to wash, this carrier can be machine washed at 30 degrees with a liquid detergent, and then left to dry overnight. However, in most cases spot cleaning with a soft damp cloth works wonders and saves you needing to wash the whole carrier.
